Terms of Service

Health disclaimer. CornerCrew is not medical advice. It is a training log and voice coach, not a medical device or a substitute for a doctor, physical therapist or certified trainer. Consult a professional before starting a program, especially if you have a health condition, injury, or are pregnant. Exercise carries risk of injury. You train at your own risk and stay in charge of your own safety.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Common Ridge ("Common Ridge", "we", "us"), the maker of CornerCrew. They cover the CornerCrew iPhone app, cornercrew.app and cornercrew.app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

1. Who can use CornerCrew

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age for consent in your country if higher. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you. You must be able to form a binding contract.

2. Your account

You sign in with Apple. Keep your Apple account secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@cornercrew.app if you think someone else has access to it.

3. What CornerCrew does

CornerCrew listens during a workout you start, turns what you say into logged sets, and speaks back in your earbuds over your own music. It calculates suggested weights and reps with a rules engine, and, with CornerCrew Pro, writes a weekly review with suggested program changes. Suggestions are guidance only. Speech recognition can make mistakes: check the readback and fix anything wrong. Do not use CornerCrew as your only safety check, and do not rely on it where you cannot hear your surroundings. Keep your volume at a level that lets you hear gym staff, alarms and other people.

4. Health and safety

See the health disclaimer above. CornerCrew does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Stop exercising and seek medical help if you feel pain, dizziness, chest tightness or shortness of breath.

5. CornerCrew Pro and subscriptions

CornerCrew Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment, free trials, renewals, cancellation and refunds under Apple's terms. Manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. We cannot cancel or refund App Store purchases for you. Features that are free today may change; we will not remove the core per-set coach from the free tier without notice. Prices and what Pro includes are shown in the app before you buy.

6. Apple terms (EULA supplement)

The CornerCrew app is licensed to you, not sold. Subject to these Terms, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA") applies, and the following supplement applies on top of it:

These Terms are between you and Common Ridge, not Apple. Common Ridge, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content, maintenance and support.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the app fails to meet a warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
Common Ridge, not Apple, handles claims about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, and consumer-protection claims, and any third-party intellectual property claims.
You represent that you are not located in a country under a U.S. government embargo or listed as a restricted party.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you once you accept them.

7. Your content and our license

Your workout logs, programs and notes are yours. You give us a limited license to store, process and display them to run the Service for you, including sending set logs to the review feature. We do not sell your data. How we handle it is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable use

Do not reverse engineer the Service, attack or overload it, use it to break the law, impersonate others, or scrape it. Do not use CornerCrew while doing something where listening to a coach would be unsafe, such as driving.

9. Our property

CornerCrew, its name, logo, Orb, sounds, software and design belong to Common Ridge. These Terms give you no ownership of them.

10. Human coaches

When a coach marketplace launches, coaches are independent professionals, not employees or agents of Common Ridge. Coach advice is theirs. The Coach Terms apply to coaches, and payments for coaching are processed by Stripe.

11. Changes, suspension and ending

We may update the Service and these Terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the app or by notice before it applies. If you keep using CornerCrew after that, you accept the new Terms. We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms. You can stop at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not promise that speech recognition, targets or reviews will be correct or uninterrupted.

13. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Common Ridge is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for injury arising from your exercise. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State] , without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in that state have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you keep any mandatory consumer rights in the place you live.
